The new 2002 R1 comes with a beautiful euro style undertail, but sports a big ugly rear fender! This kit removes and replaces the fender and reuses the licence plate mount, stock lighting and side reflectors to keep it all legal. You must supply aftermarket turn signals, but you wanted to do that anyway, right?!
The fender replacer is made from Lexan Polycarbonate. This material is extremely impact resistant and can withstand any rock or pebble your bikes tire can throw at it! We have routinely stress tested one here in the shop by throwing and kicking it all over the place! All it ever does is bounce and get scratched and dented! The small, compact design, combined with our proprietary solvent welding technique produces the strongest possible joints, resulting in an incredibly durable and light weight bracket.
